These chemicals and toxins are a major source of indoor air pollution which has been known to cause headaches, eye, nose and throat irritation, allergies, cancer and other serious health issues. They also contribute to water pollution which has been suggested to be the leading worldwide cause of death and disease. Using eco-friendly cleaning products is one step towards protecting and preserving the environment.
Yes. Several studies have shown that eco-friendly cleaning product work as well, if not better than traditional cleaning products. The owners of EcoMaidNYC only use eco-friendly cleaning products in their home and personally assure their efficiency.
-Where do you service?
We service any area in Manhattan and most areas in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx that are within a reasonable distance to subways.
No. At EcoMaidNYC you can make single purchase or schedule weekly, bi-weekly or monthly services without a contract.
Please contact us with at least 48 hour notice for all cancellations or schedule changes. We charge a $30 cancellation fee for all appointments cancelled after this 48 hour window.
-Are you insured?
We are licensed, bonded and insured.
We select our employees after an extensive interview and orientation process and perform background and personal reference checks. Our hand-picked service providers are knowledgable, courteous, hard-working and trustworthy.
We require all clients to keep a valid credit card on file in our office. We accept visa, mastercard and discover. Payments are processed the day of your cleaning appointment.
-Should I tip my cleaning professional?
While tipping is not required, it is customary for a job well done and will be graciously accepted. If you chose to tip, you can do so by leaving it for you service provider or have our office staff add a gratuity to their appointment payment.
How we access your home is up to you. Some clients leave keys with their front desk staff or doorman. Some clients have keys on file at our office. Some clients let us in before they leave for work and some feel more comfotable being home when we clean. If you choose to leave a key with us, it will be kept safe and secure in our office key safe.
-Do I need to do anything before a cleaning?
Although our service providers are trustworthy, we recommend that you put all cash, jewels or anything of value in a safe place before a cleaning. Also, if you have pets that tend to get anxious around strangers, we recommend that you keep them in an enclosed area until they become familiar with your service provider.
-Do I have to provide any supplies?
We bring our own eco-friendly products and supplies. However, for sanitary reasons we ask that clients provide mops and a bucket, brooms and dust pans, toilet brushes, sponges, garbage bags and if needed a vaccum.
-Will the same person clean my home every time?
If you schedule cleaning appointments with EcoMaidNYC on a recurring basis, we will make every effort to send the same service provider each time. In the event that a regular service provider cannot make your appointment we will send an equally qualified service provider.
-What if your employee damages something in my home?
Our service providers are very careful with your things. However, in the unlikely event that something breaks, please notify EcoMaidNYC withing 24 hours of the cleaning and we will take action to provide compensation.
If you are not completely satisfied with any area we have cleaned, please inform us by phone or email within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will gladly send someone to your home or office to re-clean the area in question at no extra cost.
